From the largest ocean to the smallest pond. |

The whole process starts with Google Earth.
You provide us with an area name or address.
We'll locate it and send you an image to
confirm. You can then tweak the image...less
to the north, closer-up, etc. We'll keep sending
you images until we have the exact area you
want. |

Once the area of the map is set, research is
then done, using nautical maps, to determine
the water depths. The entire map is then
hand drawn on a computer tablet. At this
point custom details (houses, boats, etc.) and
text are added. |

Once the line drawings are approved, the entire
map is laser cut from one piece of wood. Items
like text, houses and the compass rose are
laser etched into the surface of the wood. The
water areas are stained blue before the map is
framed in your choice of wood. |
|
You choose between 3 different woods for the
face of the map and 5 different stains for the
frame. Frames are available in two thicknesses.
The narrow (1") frame is shown on the Great
Lakes map. The wide (2") frame is shown on the
Sanibel-Captiva map. |
