Walnut Hill Crafts

Barbara Greenberg & Walter Jaobus established Walnut Hill Crafts in 1976, in the northwester mountains of North Carolina. Crafts are and have played a major role in the lives of Appalachian people for many generations. This influence is reflected in the pieces Walnut Hill creates.

Barbara & Walters goal is to preserve a part of the mountain culture by creating a variety of mountain folk toys and gifts. The extra added dimension of using an abundance of recycled American chestnut wood, along with many hardwood overruns from local furniture factories, has also given the folks at Walnut Hill great satisfaction!
