Survivor Tree Earrings
Cast in a mold created
directly from a Callery Pear tree. A Callery Pear tree was planted at
ground zero and was discovered to be still alive when the rubble was
cleared weeks after the 9/11 attacks. The tree was rehabilitated and has
grown from 8 feet to 35 feet since it was discovered. Replanted at the
site in 2010, the Callery Pear, now forever known as the Survivor Tree,
is a symbol of the city and country's resilience.
