I began working with metals in 1978, first studying under the guidance of my mother, Pat Duke, Professor of Jewelry Design- Troy State University. I continued my studies in Europe, the University of Georgia, Penland School of Crafts as studio assistant to many world acclaimed metal smiths. Graduate of all Gemological Institute of America (GIA) classes to include: advanced jewelry repair, diamond setting, hand engraving and colored stone identification. I am currently designing a interchangeable line of jewelry which I hope will be in production soon. Like most southerners, my favorite past time is swinging on my porch, drinking sweet tea and telling stories.
